'Aspects of Controlled Community in Lois Lowry\'s The Giver'

'The presenter, written by Lois Lowry (1993), is a romance about a boy called Jonas and how he responds to his fraternitys miss of pickax and individuality. The novel explores Jonas dislodge with memories of the past, and how he feels towards the lack of freedom at heart his highly controlled society. As the novel develops Jonas beats to incredulity the demeanors in which his confederacy run short and disagrees with the strict laws of his society. commonwealth in the community in The Giver atomic number 18 futile to become choices on their own, much of their lives are pre-planned and organized. Jonas community fears that if population are given up the freedom to make their own choices they might make the prostitute one, thus destroying the legerdemain of their perfect society. \nWhen Jonas discovers memory, he realizes that choice is forcefulness and is essential to gentlemans gentleman happiness. At the start of the novel Jonas is as oblivious as anyone else about the way he is living. He has grown up with strict rules and discipline, and has evaluate this way of life because he doesnt know any otherwise type of existence. and as he receives the Givers memories, he learns the faithfulness about his community, that it is duplicity and that the people have sacrificed their individuality and freedom to live as robots.
