Dora is a retired civilize teacher, turned letter writer. Dora joins Josue in his journey. Dora and Josue experience a serial of influential events, where they grow to love life each other. A series of events, leading to the twist point, changes Dora from a self-centered and uncaring individual to a self-sacrificing and benignant woman.\nThe movie takes place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the Central Station where Dora writes and sends letters for the illiterate. Dora helped Josue and his let, Ana, send a first and negative letter to his father, Jesus. When Dora comes home from work, we find fall proscribed that Josues father is a drunk, and that she reads the letters with her partner Irene for incorrupt entertainment, tearing them to pieces afterward. One day, when Josue a nd his mother were walking away and crossways the street, Josue drops a toy he was carrying. While his mother calls out his name, a bus runs everywhere her and kills her. Dora transfers Josue to black food securities industry criminals for 1,000 dollars, which she uses to purchase a television.\nDora experiences a turning point when she decides to hold back Josue from two black market criminals. This sudden change occurs when her friend Irene, is suspicious about the television. formerly she finds out how the television was purchased, she makes Dora realize the error she made by telling her that Josues buyers sell childrens organs for profit.
